UPDATED and improved information boards are set to be installed on land managed by the Malvern Hills Trust.

Beck baker, project lead, said: "Many of them have faded and are now illegible.

"Some are more than 15 years old and provide information that is out of date and no longer relevant for today’s visitors.

"We think it is important to share with people why the hills are so special and how visitors can help look after the important features of this landscape."

"We've included information about some of the writers, poets and artists who lived and worked on and around the Malverns.

Some of the writers include Dame Laura Knight, the impressionist artist who often stayed in the Malvern Hills Hotel, Jenny Lind, the ‘Swedish Nightingale who lived out her last days at nearby ‘Wynds Point’ and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, a poet who grew up on the edge of Colwall looking up at the Hills.
