ELECTION 2019: Richard Whitehead, Liberal Democrat candidate for Pickersleigh.
A COUNCILLOR from Malvern has been put forward to take a place on the board of the Malvern Hills Trust.
Cllr Richard Whitehead, representing Pickersleigh, has been put forward to join the board.
At the full meeting of Malvern Hills District Council on October 29, Cllr Whitehead was put forward by fellow Lib Dem councillor Tom Wells.
Cllr Wells said: "It gives me great pleasure to formally move Richard Whitehead who is passionate about all things Malvern Hills and I am sure he will be an excellent trust member."
The Malvern Hills Trust put forward proposals including reducing the size of the board, having additional powers to tackle land management issues and more options to fundraise.
