AN under 10s football team from Kidderminster completed a gruelling 5k mud run to help raise money for cancer research.
Kidderminster Athletic Hawks, who play in the Stourport and District league, have raised over £200 for Cancer Research UK after taking part in the event held at Sandwell Valley Park.
Team manager Jon Maskell said: “Someone very special to everyone here at Kidderminster Hawks has just come through a tough battle with the disease so we wanted to show our support for a charity which does so much for so many.
"The boys had a fantastic morning at the event and recorded some really impressive times after overcoming several obstacles and the expected mud.
"We will be looking to do something similar in the coming months to carry on our support for the charity.”
