THE Friends of the Worcester Three Choirs Festival are hosting a Come and Sing event in the city this weekend.
The work being performed is Elgar's Dream of Gerontius, one of the composer's most popular works.
The event will be conducted by celebrated singer, conductor and radio presenter Brian Kay, a founder member of the King’s Singers.
The accompanist is Christopher Allsop, who was assistant director of music at Worcester Cathedral and is now assistant director of music at King's School, Worcester.
The event is in Saturday, October 19, at Saint Andrew’s Methodist Church, Pump Street. Registration is at 9.30am for a 10.15am start, and is due to end by 5.30pm.

The work selected is The Dream of Gerontius being performed in his home city .I include the flier and a photograph of Brian which we have had his permission to print.
I would be very grateful if you could do this for me and advertise the facility of obtaining tickets as we are only breaking even instead of raising money for next year .I have tickets to sell if one does not get through to the Gloucester box office.
