TWO parishes have welcomed a new priest who hopes to be able to develop link with members of other faith communities in Leominster and Bromyard.
Father Paul Millar has been appointed by the Archbishop of Cardiff to be responsible for St. Joseph's, Bromyard and St. Ethelbert's, Leominster.
Parishioners at both Catholic churches welcomed the new priest on September 15.
Father Paul was born and educated in Cardiff before he studied chemistry at the University of Exeter and then worked for a pharmaceutical company and then Kent County Council.
After deciding to train for his priesthood and six years study at Oscott College in north Birmingham, he was ordained in 1990 for the Archdiocese of Cardiff.
Father Paul's first placement was as a curate at St. Francis Xavier in Hereford followed by parishes in Cardiff, Barry and Porthcawl. His most recent parishes were in Cardiff again.
He is said to be looking forward to working with the parishioners at both churches and developing links with members of the other faith communities in both Bromyard and Leominster.
