A MUSICAL theatre group are delighted to bring their Shakespeare and sci-fi mash-up to a Kidderminster theatre.
Carpet Trades Musical Theatre Company will bring their production of the Olivier award winning musical Return to the Forbidden Planet to the Rose Theatre from Monday October 14 to Saturday October 19.
The musical features a rock 'n' roll score and a story set in outer space, loosely based on Shakespeare's 'final' play The Tempest and the 1967 sci-fi classic Forbidden Planet.
The story follows a spaceship, helmed by Captain Tempest, making an emergency landing on the uncharted planet D’Illyria.
Show director Doug Forrester said: "On the one hand it's 'rock & roll' on the other hand it's Shakespeare.
It's a wonderful, emotional and feel good show that’s full of recognisable hits from Good Vibrations and Teenager in Love to Born to be Wild and everything in between."
Tickets for the show can be booked at the Rose Theatre box office, or by calling 01562 743745.
