A FIVE-year old boy has inspired the county to hold ‘Oscar days’ to raise funds to go towards lifesaving treatment.
Support for Oscar Saxelby-Lee has been growing as £500,000 is needed for him to have treatment in Singapore to treat his leukaemia.
Six friends will take to the skies and jump out of a plane as they try to raise thousands of pounds for the cause.
Laura Rose, from Goodrich, near Ross-on-Wye, will be taking part in the skydive on November 6 in support of Oscar’s mum, a friend from university.
Schools in Herefordshire will also do their bit, including Pencombe C of E primary school, near Bromyard.
On Thursday pupils can wear Disney outfits and make a minimum donation of £1.
Queen Elizabeth High School in Bromyard will follow a similar incentive, with a non-uniform day to raise more money.
