A NEW Mediterranean pub and bar is coming to Worcester.

Ego, which is a chain of pubs with branches across the country, is launching a six-week renovation project at the Stonehouse 'Manor Farm' pub.

The refurbishment will see a complete re-working of the inside and outside of the building.

Once up and running, the pub will provide Mediterranean food, Sunday roasts, ale and cocktails every day of the week.

As part of their opening the team is looking to partner with a local charity with the aim of raising around £2,000.

Guests will be invited to attend one of two 'Charity Launch Nights' where they can be some of the first to enjoy the new pub and restaurant, whilst also raising money for a local charity or community project.

New general manager Steve Taylor said: "We can’t wait to open and welcome in the wonderful people of Worcester.

"It’s a really exciting time to join the company and be a part of the opening.

"We have some great ideas and plans for the future of how this iconic building can be integral to the local and wider community."

It has been a busy year for Ego Mediterranean as they have also opened new restaurants in Shrewsbury and Nuneaton as well as opening a venue in Bromsgrove on 29th August.

The opening of the branches in Worcester and Bromsgrove means that Ego now has 20 branches across the country.
