A PENSIONER accused of arson has appeared in court after allegedly setting fire to her own home.
Carol Williams did not formally enter a plea to arson with intent being reckless as to whether life would be endangered when she appeared at Worcester Crown Court yesterday.
The 70-year-old stands accused setting fire to her flat at Cherry Orchard, Pershore. Her defence advocate said the issue was one of capacity and fitness to plead.
Williams had made admissions to police in interview, the court heard.
She was granted unconditional bail to appear at the crown court on October 7 this year.
