THE Malvern Mayor’s Bonanza is back this weekend with more than ever for visitors to enjoy.

The event is hosted by mayor Neil Morton to raise money for two chosen charities: Heartstart Malvern and the Malvern Hills Foodbank.

This year event in on Sunday at the town’s Priory Park, running from 12.30pm until 5.30pm.

Among the bands performing are Candy and the Sound, Jazz Friday Band, The Brethyn and Blue Moon.

The dynamic Dance in Motion will also be performing, and for children there will be fete stalls, an inflatable slide, vintage rides and a circus skills workshop with Mark Russell.

Face painters, a balloon modeller and a photo booth will all be in the park, and new for this year is the sheep rodeo ride.

There will be a selection of craft stalls and if you feel peckish there is plenty on offer from Pizza Heaven, Hill Top Farm Pig Roast, Three Sixty Cafe and the Crazy Crêperie. Wash it down with a locally brewed beer from the Friday Beer Company or enjoy an ice cream from Benito’s.

There is also a raffle with prizes including a family ticket to the Sunshine Festival, entrance tickets to Drayton Manor and a spa day for two at The Malvern.

The event is free to attend, with many of the activities also free to take part in.

Cllr Morton said: “This is an excellent annual event held for local residents and I hope as many of you as possible will come along and enjoy the day whilst also helping to raise much needed funds for two charities that do excellent work for the benefit of the local community.”
