Herefordshire Council leaders delayed making an announcement on the future of bypass plans for Hereford at tonight’s cabinet meeting.

Infrastructure and transport cabinet member John Harrington is now expected to make a "non-key" decision by next Wednesday at the earliest.

Council leader David Hitchiner says they need to take more time to make the right decision.

Leominster is understood to be the first town lined up to host one.
