AN exciting summer of street theatre will tour the district to entertain residents.

This year’s annual Street Theatre programme will run from 11am until 3pm on selected dates and venues between July 24 and August 6.

The shows will be touring the district with performances at Bromsgrove Recreation Ground, Wythall Park, Catshill Meadow, Sanders Park, Hagley Park, and Rubery St Chad’s Park.

Visitors are welcome to bring chairs, tables and picnics to enjoy during the shows.

There will also be additional entertainment and activities including numerous workshops, children’s craft activities, animal demos and catering stalls.

Most activities are free but there is a small charge for face painting, bouncy castle and rides and craft activities.

Councillor Phil Thomas, whose portfolio covers leisure services, said: “Keep the whole family entertained during the school holidays and save yourself the stress of bored children. Our Street Theatre events get more and more popular each year and with even more shows right across the district, I’ve no doubt that this year’s will wow the crowds with daredevil tricks, magic and plenty of comedy.”
