THIS Morning star Alison Hammond will be judging this year's Bromsgrove Carnival parade on Saturday (July 13).

The 44-year-old Brummie, who has worked as a showbiz interviewer on the popular ITV programme for more than 15 years will be on stage at Sanders Park from around 12.45pm.

Hammond first came to prominence as a contestant on Big Brother and has since appeared in other reality shows including I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here and Strictly Come Dancing.

The Carnival festivities begin on Friday night with an open-air cinema showing of the Queen film Bohemian Rhapsody at Sanders Park.

Saturday is the big day for the event and it kicks off with the spectacular carnival procession through the town and out to Sanders Park.

In the park, Wilson’s funfair will be in full swing providing thrills and excitement for those of a more daring disposition.

There is a music stage with a full programme of acts throughout the day, and a range of stalls, shows and activities.

To finish off the day, local athletes will be tackling the challenging Timberhonger 10k and children’s challenge fun run.

More than 800 runners are expected to take on the races this year to be rewarded with their specially commissioned race medals and, for over 18s, a refreshing Timberhonger 10k beer.
