A NEW takeaway proved to be too popular for its own good after a surge in orders left them unable to cope with demand.
RASOI Indian takeaway in Ross-on-Wye’s High Street had only been open five days when it was 'flooded' with orders on Thursday, June 14, and staff said they couldn't keep up with the orders coming in.
The owners took to social media to apologise to customers who experienced the severe delays, with some saying they waited up to three hours to then have their order cancelled.

They said: "We want to take a moment to express our sincere apologies to all our customers who experienced huge delays.
"We are extremely disappointed and saddened by the fact we could not take any further orders as we had a huge back log to deal with, but it’s a lesson learned and we are better prepared going forward now to be more efficient and give you guys a better experience."
RASOI aim to be the best Indian takeaway service in Herefordshire, according to its website. It says the takeaway does not compromise on quality or convenience when it comes to food.
