TRIBUTES to Hay-on-Wye's former town crier, who held the role for more than 25 years, have been flooding in.
Ken Smith sadly passed away at his home on Monday (June 10) and will be sadly missed by friends, family and the community.
Mr Smith hung up his tricorn hat in 2010 after being made an honorary member of the Guild of Town Criers.
In 2014 he helped current town crier George Tofarides to open the new Hay Cheese Market building (pictured).
There will be a private family burial on Thursday 20th June, then a celebration of his life at St Peters Church in Glasbury at 3pm. Donations to the church St David’s Hospice.
