A FORMER Dudley school is going under the hammer at a prestigious property auction next week.
The Claughton Centre, formerly the Sir Gilbert Claugton School, is up for the highest bidder by West Midlands based property auctioneers SDL Auctions Bigwood
The Edwardian building on Blowers Green Road has planning permission confirmed to be converted into 21 apartments.
The site, which measures in at 0.87 acres has a guide price of £200,000.
The school closed in 1990 and since then has been used as offices by Dudley Council.
The auction will include several commercial units, mixed-use properties and development opportunities, as well as houses and flats, and takes place at Villa Park on Thursday May 23.
