THE sentencing of a 20-year-old who caused criminal damage at a sheltered housing complex has been deferred again.

The Worcester News has previously reported on Cameron Mowbray who admitted causing £1,000 of damage to the Malvern Hills Foyer between June 5 and June 6 last year.

At the latest hearing of the case, held at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, prosecutor Nichola Richie again outlined the case against Mowbray of Gloucester Close, Malvern.

Miss Ritchie told magistrates on top of the damage at the complex Mowbray had also threatened to slash tyres and used abusive language on March 14.

Mowbray had also previously pleaded guilty to attempting to possess a controlled drug of class A (MDMA) and possessing a knife blade in a public place on the same date.

Sarah Brady, defending, said her client was undergoing a mental health assessment for autism and although that had now been completed, the results were not available.

Mrs Brady urged the magistrates to postpone the case so that it could be finalised, as the report would assist with their sentencing.

Magistrates agreed and scheduled the next hearing of the case for May 30. It was also stressed to Mowbray he must follow his bail conditions.
