A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a crash in Rowley Regis last night.

Medics were called to Hawes Lane late last night (March 14) to reports of a crash.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene to help the motorcyclist who was seriously injured.

The motorcyclist, a woman, was taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

She was confirmed dead shortly after her arrival.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found a woman who had suffered very serious injuries.

“Ambulance staff provided advanced care at the scene before she was taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, but sadly was confirmed dead shortly after arrival.”
