The chairman of Malvern Hills District Council is raising money fort charity by visiting churches and singing with choirs.

Councillor Andrea Morgan is raising funds for Worcestershire Cancer Aid, a charity based in Upton-Upon-Severn, by visiting as many churches in the district and singing with the choirs over the next few weeks as possible.

She kicked off her challenge on February 12, when she visited the Great Malvern Priory and sang with the Hanley Voices Choir.

The next events will be held on 5, 7 and 11 March where Cllr Morgan will be singing in churches throughout the day and is asking residents to join in and sing with her.

Cllr Morgan said: “Singing has always been a passion of mine so I thought this challenge would be a great way to meet people across the district whilst raising funds for charity.

“Worcestershire Cancer Aid is a great cause and I hope people will come along and show their support by getting involved.”

A collection bucket will be available at each church for people to donate to Worcestershire Cancer Aid.
