PEOPLE struggling with the loss of a loved one are being invited to a bereavement group in Redditch.

The group, organised by charity Carers Careline, meets on the third Saturday morning of each month, 10.30am to noon at the Ecumenical Centre.

Everyone is invited, it doesn’t matter whether the bereavement is recent or longer ago.

A spokesman from the charity said: "It’s often known as the ‘last taboo’ – death. It’s something we don’t really talk about, even though it’s inevitable.

"The one sure thing about us human beings is that one day we will die. This obviously means that every single one of us will experience grief and loss at various points in our lives.

"That grief may not pass easily or quickly. It is often made easier by having others to talk to and share your experiences with."

They added: "It is a free and easy group – come when you care to, join in or just sit quietly listening, have a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit, meet new people."
