A WOMAN was punched and kicked during what is believed to be an unprovoked assault in Ledbury on Tuesday.
Police said the victim was pushed to the floor from behind in Lawnside Road at 2pm and a man told her he "wanted the money".
He then ran off - nothing was stolen.
The woman suffered a number of injuries to her face and body and was taken by ambulance to Hereford County Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
The offender is described as a white male wearing dark jeans and a dark hoodie.
Police are checking CCTV and carrying out house-to-house enquiries.
