A HEREFORDSHIRE-based law firm has brought a little festive cheer to St Michael's Hospice.

Instead of receiving gifts in the run-up to Christmas, the team at DF Legal solicitors spent the month of November bringing in tasty treats, gifts and decorations to put in a festive hamper as part of a Reverse Advent Calendar appeal to benefit those staying at St Michael's Hospice over Christmas.

DF Legal managing partner Jo May and marketing co-ordinator Kate Allen popped over to the centre near Hereford to hand over the yule-tide hamper.

Kate Allen said: “Many of our staff and clients have benefited from the care provided by St Michael's and because they are our charity of the year we wanted to send good-will to families living with a terminal illness.

"Visiting the centre and seeing the amazing work they do warmed our hearts, and we hope our Christmas hamper will bring some Christmas cheer to the patients and their families at this time of year.”

St Michael’s provides free of charge palliative care, plus support to families, throughout Herefordshire and the surrounding areas.

Paddy Nugent, community fundraising manager for the hospice, said: “Everyone at St Michael's would like to thank DF Legal for their generosity and bringing a little bit more excitement and Christmas spirit to St Michael's Hospice.”

Throughout 2018, DF Legal, which has offices in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Ledbury and Stroud has helped raise money and awareness with several fundraising activities for St Michael's Hospice, including a Spring Walk, a Paint Run and a 10k Midnight Walk.
