WHAT would you choose to best showcase what Herefordshire has to offer the world?

That is the question we are posing to our readers on behalf of Anthea McIntyre, who represents the county in the European Parliament.

Miss McIntyre has secured the main exhibition space in the parliament building in Brussels for a prestigious exhibition celebrating the very best of Herefordshire.

Now she is seeking ideas for how to best use the opportunity.

She invited guests to a meeting in the Green Dragon, Broad Street, Hereford, to canvass their views.

And she has asked Abigail Appleton, principal of Hereford College of Arts, to curate the exhibition.

Conservative Miss McIntyre, who is an MEP for the West Midlands region, said: "This will be nothing to do with politics. It is simply an opportunity to present Herefordshire to the whole of Europe and other parts of the world.

"The centre of the parliament is very busy, and with 110 square metres of exhibition space we have the chance to highlight the many facets of Herefordshire."

She said the showcase would emphasise that the county is "a great place to do business and to visit and sample the cultural diversity which we have to offer.".

It would be open from February 18-22, 2019.

What would you put in an exhibition to highlight what Hereford has to offer? Would you showcase the county's farming heritage and fine food and drink, its noble military history, splendid architecture, burgeoning high-tech industries or magnificent countryside?
