POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they want to trace after a terrifying armed robbery in Redditch.

The raid happened at Flyford Stores in Flyford Close, Lodge Park, yesterday (Friday November 16).

The incident unfolded after two masked men, armed with a hammer and 'Rambo style' knife, entered the shop via the main entrance at around 9.15am.

One of the men held a hammer in his left hand, while the second man, armed with a hunting knife with a blade about ten inches long, approached the till and threatened the sales assistant with it.

The man with the knife asked the assistant to open the till, leaned over the counter and stole a small amount of cash which he placed in a blue and white striped bag with a draw cord.

Both men then fled the store through the main entrance and turned right in the direction of Flyford Close.

The entire incident lasted less than 60 seconds.

The man with the knife was described as white, five feet nine to five feet 11, of medium build, and wearing a black hooded sleeveless top with silver coloured zip up the front. He wore the hood up and had a white face mask on and light grey tracksuit bottoms with black trainers and dark blue gloves.

He also wore a black face mask or scarf, and was wearing navy blue tracksuit bottoms, black trainers, and black gloves - possibly motorcycle/ski gloves with light coloured finger tips and a logo to the top.
