A MOTORIST had a lucky escape earlier this week after crashing their car near Moreton-In-Marsh.
The accident happened at around 11am on Tuesday morning, between Evenlode Road and The Four Shire Stone, just outside Cotswold.
Cotswolds Police expressed their amazement that the driver was not seriously injured.
"North Cotswolds officers have responded to a RTC just outside Moreton-In-Marsh," a spokesperson said on social media.
"Luckily no one was seriously injured but it could have been a lot worse! #SpeedKills."
Cotswold Police tweeted a picture of the car smashed up, with one of the car squeezed and the roof caved in, with the vehicle having come to a rest on the roadside grass bank.
The road was partially blocked for a period as the vehicle was recovered.
