WHAT does it take to write a runaway bestseller? Where does the inspiration spring from to imagine the

much-loved tale of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry? These questions and more will be answered

by award-winning writer and author Rachel Joyce at The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie.

In celebration of the world’s oldest Literature Festival, The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie will

open the doors to its private dining room for the event on Wednesday, October 10 from

12.30pm to 3pm. Hosted by BBC Radio Gloucestershire presenter Faye Hatcher, guests will enjoy a

Q&A with Rachel Joyce over a three-course lunch as they find out more about piecing together a

masterpiece.

Priced at £55, each ticket includes a glass of Champagne on arrival, a three-course meal, half a bottle of wine, teas and coffees post dessert, as well as the exclusive opportunity to hear Rachel share her literary journey.

Rachel Joyce says of the collaboration: “I am delighted to be taking part in this exclusive reader event at

The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie. Cheltenham Literature Festival is iconic and the fact that it takes part in

my home county is hugely exciting. I’m looking forward to meeting fellow book lovers and sharing a little

of my writing journey with them. It means a lot to me to celebrate the power of reading during such a

vibrant week in the town."
