YOUNG dancers from across the West Midlands are descending on Halesowen this month for a special festival.
Cornbow Hall is hosting the Cannon Dance Festival competitions – featuring dancers from across the region – on Saturday February 11 and February 18, from 9am until 6pm.
Competition organiser Sinead Cannon, owner of Halesowen-based school Cannon Dance Academy, said: “The dancers range from four-years-old all the way to up to over 21s, and it is a really good opportunity for the dancers to build their confidence and celebrate one another’s talent.
“The dance styles displayed are ballet, tap, modern, street, contemporary, character, national, lyrical, song and dance and acro, performed as solos, duets, trios and group dances.”
People wanting to watch the event can pay the £3.50 entry fee on the door, which includes a programme.
