A REUNION marking two decades since Littlewoods closed its doors in Worcester city centre is being held later this month.
The store, which was located on the High Street, closed its doors in January 1998, after a takeover by Marks & Spencer.
One of the oldest serving members of staff, Susan Adams, who started working at Littlewoods in April 1970, said: "It was a great place to work we had lots of fun and got involved in lots of charity work.
"I know we were missed on the High Street.
She added: "There must have been hundreds of staff passed through the doors. Many came straight from school and stayed till they left to have a family."
The event is being held at Archdales 73 Club in Windermere Drive, Warndon, at 7pm on Wednesday, January 24.
Former members of staff met in December to help plan the event.
Those who would like to attend are being asked to pay £5 towards the cost of the event with any excess money to be donated to charity.
Staff members interested in taking part in the reunion are asked to contact Susan Adams by emailing adams478@btinternet.com.
