THE debate on fox hunting generated plenty of comments on the Hereford Times website.
So we put the question to a vote to gauge the feelings of our readers.
More than 15,000 people gave their view via our poll at herefordtimes.com with the clear majority – 71% – saying that fox hunting is barbaric and has no place in 21st Century Britain.
A total of 25% said that fox hunting has been part of rural life for many years and should return while 3% said they did not think the foxes should be killed by the hounds but they do enjoy watching the spectacle.
Meanwhile, 1% said they had more important things to worry about.
