CLEE Hill & district branch Royal British Legion was delighted with the support for their prize bingo in aid of the Poppy Appeal on October 17 at the village hall.
Total profits from the evening were £772.28 with more than 100 people attending. The branch would like to thank all who joined us for a most enjoyable evening, and all the local businesses who donated the fantastic prizes that were on offer, as well as our county chairman Neil Jenkins who turned bingo caller for the night!
As the nation’s leading Armed Forces charity, the Legion spends £1.6 million a week, or £84 million a year on vital welfare work, providing social, emotional and financial care and support to serving and ex-service people and their families.
But for every person they reach, there are many more who are still struggling alone. The demand for their support continues as service men and women, young and old, call on them for emotional, financial and practical help.
The branch AGM takes place on November 25 at 7pm at the Golden Cross, Clee Hill, again, all are welcome.
