A FARM shop is promising to bring authenticity to the high street when it opens its doors in Ludlow.

The new venture from farmer James Evans for the High Street in Ludlow was expected to open its doors ahead of Christmas, but now prospective customers will have to wait just a little longer to browse the shelves after the project hit a snag.

The a last minute hitch means that the shop will not now be open before Christmas, but instead has an opening date set for the new year.

In a stroke of Christmas luck, news that the build would be delayed came in just a day before Mr Evans was due to place his order for all of the shop's festive goods.

"It is not what we wanted," admitted James. " But it was lucky that we hadn't put in all our Christmas orders for the new farm shop. We will now be open January 10."

The Bull Ring Farm Shop promises to bring the authenticity of the farm shop to the high street.
