A steer sold for a record £3,003 at the Ludlow market sale.
The March 31 sale saw 72 prime cattle up for auction, with a new record price of 488ppk set for a heifer.
Auctioneer Michael Thomas said: "The cattle trade moves up a level with a new record price of 488ppk. Extra buying support present again this week."
A good entry of 23 spring lambs were also sold, with the top price reaching £191.
In addition to the spring lambs, 1,207 hoggets were up for auction, with the best quality topping at 404ppk.
The market also saw 240 cull sheep sold, with the top price for ewes reaching £292.
Rams were sold for a top price of £193.
Mr Thomas said: "Ramadan may have finished but it certainly affected the ewe trade, with prices looking very strong still."
The market also held a store sale on March 28, where store cattle were sold, including feeding bulls, steers, and heifers.
The top price for a feeding bull was £2,225, while the top price for a steer was £2,750.
Mr Thomas said: "The store cattle trade just keeps getting better and better.
"Buyers are very keen for all types and sorts with extra competition for the native breeds."
In addition, 17 fat bulls were sold at the market, with the top price reaching £3,353.73.
The market's auctioneers are now looking for more entries for the next sale on April 11, particularly in the run-up to Easter.
