ONE of the region's leading agricultural law firms has been reappointed to the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) legal panel.

Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors, which covers Herefordshire as well as Shropshire and Staffordshire, took part in a six-month review by the NFU and was praised for its strength of expertise in agricultural matters.

The announcement means the firm has retained its place on the NFU legal panel for the third time, which places it amongst the leading agricultural law firms across the UK.

Brian Evans, head of the agricultural team, said the firm was committed to showcasing the strength of the farming sector in Herefordshire and being on the NFU legal panel was a big part of that.

“We are delighted be named on the NFU legal panel for a third term,” he said.

“The six-month review was extremely thorough and looked at our legal services, fee structures and commitment to the NFU, alongside feedback from union members and staff, so we are very pleased to have been appointed.

“We know we are only as good as our clients say we are and it is critical to us to receive independent endorsement that we deliver what we promise.

“There’s no such thing as an all-round agricultural specialist, and our teams work in in a variety of disciplines to ensure best practice and genuinely specialist advice is given to clients from the sector.”
