BROWN Clee Young Farmers took to the roads on October 22, to undertake their annual charity log lug.

Raising money for their chosen charities of the year, the Midlands Air Ambulance and Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, the fundraiser has put the group in good stead to hit their charity target explains Hannah Rose, Brown Clee YFC secretary.

"We had a great day selling logs to the local community and managed to raise an incredible £950. We would like to thank all those who purchased logs and donated money, and a big thank you also needs to go to our generous supporters who donated the wood to be sold.

"The log lug has put us in great position to meet our charity target of £2500 this year. We are currently planning our next charity event, and will also be carol singing in the lead up to Christmas, to further add to our charity funds."

As well as raising money for charity, Brown Clee Young Farmers has a jam-packed club programme for its members, adds Hannah.

"We have lots of activities coming up including a visit to the dry ski slope, sausage making and lots of club socials. We're always welcoming new members, and you don't need to be a farmer to get involved."
