WITH funding from the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Conservation Fund, mfg solicitors and Craven Arms Community Food Initiative Fund, Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre has refreshed its circular walks leaflets.

Grow Cook Learn, local charity now running the visitor centre, secured funding to increase their walks offer from four leaflets to six, including new routes and improving the existing ones.

The walks, including the Riverside Ramble and Wart Hill Wander have been enjoyed by visitors and locals for many years and will now feature new routes as well as the improved existing ones, enabling visitors to enjoy the Shropshire Hills surrounding the Craven Arms area.

This funding also supported the design of a brand new wall-map which will now be featured in the centre and includes all of the routes in an overview of the area.

As well as being able to purchase the leaflets individually, visitors will be able to buy a pack of all six at a reduced price to take away in its own wallet, perfect for storing the maps for future walks and ideal for walking in any conditions.

“A lot of time and hard work has gone in to the planning and walking of the routes over the last few months and we are really excited to now be launching them for sale,” said Jade Marriott-Lodge, marketing and development manager at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.

“All of the walks start and end here at the centre where we have free parking and a licensed café serving delicious food so it’s a great place to start your exploration of the local landscape.”
