TODAY (Friday) is Michelin Friday in Ludlow – and it has nothing to do with buying tyres.

Visitors to Ludlow Food Festival are in for a real treat, with at least 12 top chefs coming along to share their culinary skills.

Among them is Ludlow’s very own Will Holland, who has been instrumental in bringing together this talented group.

They include Great British Menu favourites such as Aktar Islam, Richard Bainbridge, Alan Murchison, Chris Hor ridge and Daniel Clifford.

Also serving up a slice of foodie heaven at the festival will be Simon Hulstone, head chef at the Michelinstarred Elephant in Torquay, who has just been selected to create the London 2012 Olympic menu for British Airways; Phil Fanning, head chef at Paris House Restaurant in Woburn; Darren Brown, head chef of Restaurant Angelique, Dartmouth; Steve Love from Love’s in Birmingham; Marcus Bean, owner and chef at the New Inn, Baschurch; and winner of Iron Chef UK and John Williams from The Pound in Leebotwood.

Meanwhile, more than 20 shops, including five new ones, are taking part in this year’s festival window dressing competition.

People can pick up a list of participating shops from the festival information stall and enjoy the variety of creative and artistic displays on show throughout the weekend.

The shops taking part include Castle Bookshop; Orvis; Black Bough; Broad Bean; Roundabout; The Wool Shop; The Silver Pear; The Angel; Ludlow Curtain Company; N Spa Tanning and Beauty; Goosey Goosey Gander; Ludlow Cookshop; Hope House; Emporos Additions; Rickards; Pye Powder; Oxfam; C W Sellors Jewellers; The Renaissance Centre; Sue Ryder Care; Emporos; Florabunda; Tiger Lily; Smarti and Period House Shop.
