JAZZ fans will have the rare opportunity to see one of the top British jazz musicians at the Feathers Hotel in Ludlow on Sunday, August 20.

Don Weller has enjoyed a career at the top of the jazz ladder and has gained a huge fan base at an international level. Widely accepted as one of Britain's leading saxophonists as well as being a fine composer, this is a fine chance to enjoy such an acclaimed performer in quite-so-intimate a setting.

Don has shared stages with such jazz legends such as Count Basie and Gil Evans, as well as other top international and British jazz stars.

Event organiser and promoter James Hunt moved to Ludlow a year ago, having returned from performing in saxophone bands aboard cruise lines.

James is trying to revive the old Ludlow jazz club which used to meet and enjoy top British acts three to four times a year, and where he himself gained inspiration to pursue a professional musical career.

James is running Sunday lunchtime jazz at the Feathers Hotel and a successful jazz night at the Unicorn Inn on the second Friday in the month.

Tickets for Don Weller are available from James on 07957 392074 or 01584 874555.
