BRIGHTWELLS report an excellent demand for store cattle at their recent sale at Rhayader.
Despite a lack of grass in many areas, a good turnout of purchasers, with many areas represented and eventually stock consigned as far away as Nottinghamshire. Included in the entry were some annual consignments of quality cattle and all sorts were very competitively bid for. Steers generally from £50 to £150 over weight with heifers anywhere from £1 per kilo to £100 over.
