THE Hodge brothers ripped Morda apart at the SBS Stadium as Ludlow Town maintained their lead in the Premier Division of the Sportsjamkits.com Shropshire County League.

Nathan scored five goals and brothers Aaron and Dale bagged one apiece on a memorable family day out.

Ludlow were on top in the first half but failed to turn their possession into goals in the first quarter.

The deadlock was broken when Nathan Hodge dispatched a penalty after a Morda player was pulled up for a foul midway through the half.

He doubled his tally in the 36th minute from close-range after man-of-the-match Ryan Lockley provided the pass.

Looking to build on their hardwon advantage,Town made the perfect start to the second half scoring two goals inside the first five minutes of second period.

Nathan Hodge ran on to a Chris Breakwell pass and fired home with his right foot from just inside the box to complete his hat-trick.

Then Hodge's brother Aaron did the same with his left after the Morda keeper had blocked a Breakwell shot.

Not to be outdone, Dale Hodge netted the fifth goal after making a solo run to create the space.

Breakwell turned from provider to goalscorer 15 minutes from time when he seized on a mistake in the Morda defence to extend the lead.

The match ended as it started, with Hodge grabbing two more goals. He ran on to a through ball from Gareth Hamer to score from long-range and then minutes later poked the ball home from closerange after Nick Giles had supplied the long-ball.

Manager Mike Seaborne was naturally delighted with the performance, especially the blank in the goals-against column.
