Ludlow Town 1 Haughmond 1.

LUDLOW made a bright start to their Friday night game at the SBS Stadium, but then spent the rest of it on the back foot against a very good Haughmond side.

They held on to claim a Sportsjamkits.com Shropshire Premier League point despite playing the final quarter with 10 men after Nathan Hodge was sent off for two bookable offences. They also lost Gareth Hamer with a dislocated shoulder during this phase of the game.

Gary Mowen crossed the ball for Danny Gower to head home inside the first five minutes. After bossing the game for 10 minutes, Town were then pegged back as Haughmond found their feet.

Town held out until the break, but Haughmond notched a deserved equaliser 10 minutes into the second half.

Ludlow defended stoutly, but caused few problems to the Haughmond defence, ironically their best chances came when they were down to 10 men. Ludlow travel to Morda this weekend.

l The Division 1 derby between Church Stretton and Clee Hill ended in a 6-1 win for Stretton. Hill struggled to cope with the Stretton set-pieces - they accounted for four of the goals.

Joe Leaske claimed a hat-trick, with Chris Hook and Adam Spellman also getting on the scoresheet. Lee Martin netted for Clee.
