THE magic of model railways was on show in Church Stretton.
This year, the displays organised by the Strettons Railway Group were so big that trains were running at both the Sylvester Horne Institute and the nearby United Reformed Church.
Expert modellers were able to show off layouts of different shapes and sizes with many of them providing a flashback to a previous golden age.
But Strettons Railway Group is not just interested in models because it is also involved in a project that will eventually see the rebuilding of the town’s former signal box, which was dismantled and put in storage last year
