Seven Stars 1

Richards Castle 2

CASTLE registered a timely first win over the season after indifferent performances in their opening three games.

Seven Stars put Castle under a lot of early pressure and the visiting defenders were hard pressed to keep them out.

However they weathered the storm and hit back to take the lead after 30 minutes when James White and James Barnett combined to set up Ben Apperley who fired home.

A defensive lapse by Castle saw Seven Stars level with a well taken equaliser, and once again Castle had to defend resolutely.

Visiting captain Martin Cadwallader turned the game when he stabbed home a corner, with Castle getting men behind the ball to hang on for a welcome victory.
