LUDLOW Food Centre is set to put some spice into life.
The centre, in partnership with Ambalama Spices, is giving everybody the opportunity to learn about spices.
A free workshop will take place on Saturday at 11.30am and will include cooking demonstrations, tastings and recipe ideas.
Questions about spices, how to use them, in what quantities and with what ingredients will be answered by Ambalama Spices’ owners Jean and Nigel Sturtivant.
Ambalama was set up by Jean and Nigel after the tsunami in 2004 to help the spice growers of Sri Lanka recover from what was the most devastating of natural disasters.
The continuity of Sri Lanka’s trade was as vital as charitable donations, so Jean and Nigel bought half a ton of spices without any firm plans or agreements to sell them and slowly built up Ambalama.
