Stagecoach West has achieved 99 per cent reliability across its bus network since May.

The operator is marking national Catch the Bus Month this September with a campaign focused on challenging one of the most common misconceptions about bus travel, reliability.

Throughout the month, Stagecoach West will highlight the performance of its services and the role buses play in daily life across the region.

Martin Gibbon, managing director of Stagecoach West, said: "One of the biggest misconceptions we hear is that buses are unreliable, but the reality is very different.

"Since May, our services across the Stagecoach West network have achieved 99 per cent reliability, helping thousands of customers get where they need to be every day.

"We know reliability is one of the most important factors for our customers, and our teams work incredibly hard to deliver services that people can depend on.

"Catch the Bus Month is a fantastic opportunity to challenge outdated perceptions and showcase the benefits of travelling by bus.

"Whether you're a regular customer or haven't travelled by bus for years, we would encourage people across Worcestershire to give the bus a try this September and see for themselves how reliable, convenient and affordable bus travel can be."

The campaign encourages people to consider using the bus for commuting, shopping, visiting friends and family, or leisure trips.

Catch the Bus Month runs throughout September, with activities taking place across the UK to promote bus travel as part of everyday life.
