A collection of paintings from a late Shropshire collector is set to go under the hammer later this month.
The works will be sold in two upcoming sales at Halls The Auction House in Shrewsbury, with the first taking place on September 23, and the second on November 18.
Abigail Molenaar, picture specialist at Halls, said: "It’s very exciting to be able to sell a collection of paintings that has been kept in excellent condition and been assembled through pure enjoyment and love.
"He was obviously passionate about the artists."
The September auction features an oil painting by French post-impressionist Edouard Léon Cortès, valued between £12,000 and £18,000.
Other highlights include works by Marcel Dyf, Samuel John Lamorna Birch, Dorothea Sharp, and Lawrence Biddle, with estimates ranging from £600 to £9,000.
A portrait of Frances Jennings, sister of English courtier, noblewoman and politician Sarah Churchill, Duchess of Marlborough, is estimated at £2,000 to £4,000.
Viewing will be available at Halls on Monday, September 21, and Tuesday, September 22, from 10am to 4pm.
