A comedy club and live bands will headline Shropshire Oktoberfest’s return to Shrewsbury.
The event will take place at the Quarry on October 2 and October 3, 2026.
Local brewers, distillers and drinks producers will serve beers, ciders, cocktails, wines and spirits from marquees and tipis at the bottom of the park.
Entertainment will include live music, oompah, street food, a silent disco and Aion’s carpool karaoke. Saturday will also feature a comedy club.
Bands booked for the live music stage include Two Blank Pages, Monsdale, Hot Rox, Something 4 The Weekend duo, The Dirty Rockin Scoundrels, Wild Candy, Audio Thieves, Ego Friendly and Skaburst.
Asparagus & The Kilburn Habit will also perform on Saturday afternoon.
Beth Heath, Director of Fun at Shropshire Festivals, said: “After a few years away from our live music stages, we’re excited to have secured the hilarious Asparagus & The Kilburn Habit for a Saturday afternoon slot – they are perfect for our Oktoberfest audience!”
Saturday’s comedy line-up will be hosted by Preston comedian Tony Vino. He will be joined by Daliso Chaponda, a Britain’s Got Talent finalist and Golden Buzzer winner, and Mandy Muden, a comedy magician and entertainer who reached the programme’s semi-final.
The bill will also include Duncan Oakley, Christian Reilly, Jo Enright and James Dowdeswell.
Oktoberfest has been held annually since 2017. Organisers say the event is covered by marquees for most of its duration and includes long Oktoberfest-style seating, a VIP area, premium toilets and a view of the music stage.
Beth Heath, Director of Fun at Shropshire Festivals, said: “The festival offers the perfect vibe for a brilliant night out – whether you’re there with mates to dress up in Lederhosen, eat street food and dance the night away, or you want to sit down with old friends and sample some fantastic local beers, this is the date you need in your diary.”
Businesses are being invited to sponsor the event or use a remaining private party area for clients or staff.
Friday’s session runs from 5pm to 10pm. Saturday’s runs from 12pm to 10pm.
