Residents across Ludlow gathered to celebrate Mayor's Sunday.
The annual civic event took place on June 28 at St Laurence’s Church and brought together townspeople, community groups, and dignitaries for a day of tradition and public service.
A civic procession began at the Guildhall and made its way through the town centre to the church.
Music from the Ludlow Concert Band accompanied the procession, setting what was described as a 'vibrant and welcoming atmosphere' for the day.
The service was attended by Councillor Diane Lyle, who continues as Mayor of Ludlow for a second year, along with newly appointed deputy mayor Councillor Pete Addis and fellow members of Ludlow Town Council.
The Deputy Lieutenant of Shropshire, a representative from Shropshire Council, and mayors and civic leaders from neighbouring towns were also present.
During the service, Mayor Lyle delivered a reading and led the Affirmation of Faith and Act of Dedication.
Those taking part pledged: "With the help of God, I will seek to serve with wisdom, integrity, and courage, promoting the welfare and peace of Ludlow and the wider county."
Ludlow Town Council described Mayor’s Sunday as one of the town’s 'most cherished civic traditions,' providing a moment to reflect and come together in unity and gratitude.
After the church service, light refreshments were served in St Laurence’s, giving attendees the chance to continue conversations and mark the occasion.
The council extended its thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to the event.
