More potholes are set to be addressed throughout Shropshire in May.
Shropshire Council will continue using its two Multihog road planer machines across the county to tackle potholes this month.
The machines remove the road surface to create a clean, square-edged hole for repair, speeding up the process and allowing more defects to be fixed.
In May 2026, roads scheduled for treatment include:
- Shrewsbury Road south of Annscroft to Great Lyth Farm (treated on May 1)
- Shrewsbury Road from Great Lyth Farm to Chatford Lane (May 5)
- New Barn junction to junction Trefonen Hall, Trefonen (May 11)
- B4367, Broome Road, Clungunford (May 26)
- B4367, Clungunford to Hopton Heath (May 28)

Other locations set for work include:
- Warrant Road, Rosehill (treated on May 1)
- A458, Crosshouses (May 8)
- Barnsley to Roughton junction, Bridgnorth (May 14)
- Lower Lodge Farm A458 junction to Barnsley (May 19)
- Fishmore Road End to Lodge Court Farm junction, Ludlow (May 26)
Repairs are carried out on weekdays between 9.30am and 4pm.
Each Multihog can treat 9,000 square metres of road each month.
According to the council, this helps reduce the likelihood of new potholes forming in the short to medium term and can minimise the need for full road closures.
