A landmark recovery plan to help restore nature and strengthen the landscapes across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin has been published.
Unveiled on Wednesday, April 22, the Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) aims to improve biodiversity and protect habitats.
The plan was developed collaboratively by Shropshire Council, Telford & Wrekin Council, Natural England, and a range of other partners.

Councillor David Walker, Shropshire Council cabinet member for planning, said: "Nature underpins everyday life, from clean air and water to the green spaces that support our health and wellbeing, yet many species and habitats across Shropshire are still in decline.
"This strategy sets out a shared, locally-led approach to turning that around."
The LNRS is non-regulatory and does not impose new restrictions or require land-use changes.
Instead, it offers a coordinated framework to support landowners, guide developers, inform funding decisions, and help communities improve green spaces.
The strategy includes a Statement of Biodiversity Priorities and a Local Habitat and Opportunity Map to focus conservation efforts where they will have the most impact.
