A new networking event is set to put the spotlight on the county's tourism and hospitality economy.

Shropshire Chamber of Commerce will host the gathering at Salop Leisure in Shrewsbury on April 30 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

The event will bring together professionals, venues, suppliers, and sector partners for an evening of discussion, insight, and networking.

Kelly Riedel, head of member success at Shropshire Chamber, said: "This new event has been created to support everyone working across hospitality, tourism and leisure.

"It will feature thought-provoking talks from guest speakers, followed by dedicated time for open networking, idea sharing and building new partnerships.

"It’s a chance to strengthen local links, explore new opportunities and stay informed about the latest developments shaping one of Shropshire’s most important industries."

Guest speakers include Ed Glover from Salop Leisure, who will share the company’s award-winning customer service approach, and Shrewsbury College’s Andy Lee and Jules Rhodes, who will discuss workforce development in the sector.

The event is free for members and £15 for non-members.
